Entry Fees
Team Nomination Fees - First two teams in each year group - per team
Year 8 $ 195.00 + GST = $ 214.50
Year 9 $ 195.00 + GST = $ 214.50
Year 10 $ 205.00 + GST = $ 225.50
Year 11 $ 225.00 + GST = $ 247.50
Year 12 $ 225.00 + GST = $ 247.50
Senior A $ 275.00 + GST = $ 302.50
in 2015 a tiered fee of $20.00 per team (+ GST) will be added to the above applicable entry fees for schools that wish to nominate a third team in any individual year level (up to the maximum number permitted). This fee will be increased to $40.00 per team (+GST) for the fourth nominated team per school in each individual year group. Prices for teams above the maximum number of teams permitted in QDU competitions will be negotiated on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of the QDU Executive in all cases.

(NB: No GST is payable on any fines and/or penalties imposed as per ATO ruling GSTD2005/6)
Team withdrawal after nomination - $150.00
Forfeit Fines
Forfeit notified to QDU in writing prior to 5.00 pm
the day before a scheduled debate - $ 50.00
Forfeit notified to QDU in writing after 5.00 pm
the day before a scheduled debate or NO SHOW - $ 100.00
Postponement Penalties (These WILL APPLY AND BE CHARGED)
Any postponement notified to the QDU in writing
more than two weeks prior to Round 1 of the competition - no fine
More than one month prior to the scheduled debate - $ 25.00
but not meeting the above requirement
More than two weeks written notice but less than
one month prior to the scheduled debate - $ 40.00
Note:
Schools requesting a postponement will only be charged the appropriate fee if and when the request is granted by the QDU Schools VP in all cases. If the postponement request is denied, then failure to debate will result in the relevant forfeit fine being applied.
An exceptional circumstances waiver will still apply as per QDU rules.
