Suburban Workshops
Points of Information Workshop
This workshop assists students with the transition to debating with the added element of POIs. This workshop was created for the schools that specifically requested the QDU to provide information on this form of debating an the value of this workshop is such that the QDU will be hosting THREE of these workshops around Brisbane in 2015 for all students to attend.
QDU absorbs the cost of providing this workshop and there is no cost to participating students or coaches.
Level One Adjudicator Accreditation
The QDU has identified a need to accredit more adjudicators. As our competitions grow larger we continue to seek adjudicators to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to debate in our competitions. QDU is seeking to accredit interested people to becoming Level 1 adjudicators in 2015 to adjudicate at suburban venues.
The Level One accreditation is a three hour classroom based tutorial with an online exam completed after attending the class. To complete the accreditation process you must be in possession of a CCYPCG Queensland Blue Card (or Exemption Card in the case of teachers). QDU Accreditation must be renewed annually for the first three years to be considered current.
